01Who we are

Gym Lock is an iOS app made by Velentis Labs ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles and what happens to it. If anything here is unclear, email us at support@gymlock.co — a human reads it.

02Your workout data stays on your device

Everything you create in Gym Lock — workouts, sets, reps, weights, personal records, streaks, Focus Scores, body-weight entries and your profile photo — is stored locally on your iPhone. There is no account to create, no sign-in, and no server of ours that holds your training history.

Deleting the app deletes this data. You can also reset it from inside the app under Settings.

03App blocking (Screen Time)

Gym Lock uses Apple's Screen Time technology (the Family Controls and Managed Settings frameworks) to shield the apps you choose during workouts. Apple designed this system so that we never see which apps you select — your choices are represented by opaque tokens that only your device can interpret. Your blocked-app list never leaves your iPhone and is never visible to us.

04Location (optional gym detection)

If you turn on gym detection, the app uses your location for exactly one thing: noticing when you arrive at the gym boundary you set yourself, so it can show you a local reminder to start your session.

• Your location is processed on your device and never stored or transmitted anywhere.
• There is no location history, and we cannot see where you are or where you've been.
• Gym detection is optional — the entire app works without location access, and you can revoke it at any time in iOS Settings.

05Notifications

Reminders (gym arrival, streak nudges, shield alerts) are local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. We don't run a push-notification server and can't message you remotely.

06Analytics & crash reporting

The app includes Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics. These collect:

• Usage data — which screens are used and general interaction events, so we can see which features matter;
• Crash data — stack traces and device state when the app crashes, so we can fix bugs;
• Device information — model, iOS version, and a per-install identifier (not your name or contact details).

This data is pseudonymous — we can't connect it to you personally, and it never includes your workouts, blocked apps or location. We do not use it for advertising and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Google processes this data on our behalf; their practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.

07What we never do

• We never sell your data — to anyone, for anything.
• We never show third-party ads or share data with ad networks.
• We never read your messages, photos (beyond the profile picture you choose, which stays on device), contacts or anything else outside the app.

08Children

Gym Lock is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

09Your choices & deleting your data

• Local data — reset it in the app's Settings, or delete the app entirely.
• Location & notifications — turn permissions off any time in iOS Settings → Gym Lock.
• Analytics — anonymous analytics records age out automatically; if you'd like the data tied to your install identifier removed sooner, email us and we'll handle it.

10Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data — for example, if we ever add accounts or cloud sync — we'll update this page and the effective date above before the change ships.
